GLOBAL FOOTPRINT AND NETWORK

OYO boasts a diverse global footprint, spanning across 35 countries. Its extensive network comprises ~18,000 storefronts across India, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Additionally, the company offers a vast selection of ~ 85,000 vacation homes and ~73,000 listings.

GROWTH INITIATIVES

OYO has undertaken several growth initiatives to expand its presence in the market. Key initiatives include:
• B2B venture targeting corporate travel and event planning in India, with notable clients such as Tech Mahindra and Reliance Group.

• An accelerator program for small, first-generation hoteliers, which has already onboarded 1,000 hotels.

• Plans to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency, aiming to automate 85% of voice queries and 90% of emails by the end of 2024 through the deployment of bots.

RECENT ACQUISITIONS

OYO has made strategic acquisitions to expand its offerings:
1. Motel 6 and Studio 6: A prominent budget motel brand in North America, with a franchise network of ~1,500 storefronts across the US and Canada
2. Checkmyguest: A Paris-based premium rental homes company with ~2,000 storefronts.
The acquisition includes housing renovation business (Helpmyguest) and a luxury rental apartment management company (Studio Prestige).

FINANCIAL UPDATE

OYO has achieved profitability, driven by a combination of business growth and cost savings. Key highlights from the Q2 FY25 update include:
Revenue growth: ₹1,578 crore in Q2, up from ₹1,413 crore in Q1.
Profit growth: ₹158 crore in Q2 FY25, compared to ₹132 crore in Q1 FY25 and a ₹50 crore loss in Q2 FY24.
Debt repayment: ₹16.2 billion repaid in November 2023, reducing debt from ₹53.4 billion to ₹37.2 billion.
